Description

Much of the future historical record is being created on blogs, wikis, and social networking and sharing websites. These technologies offer content; a means to identify movements, perspectives, and activities that merit documentation; and tools to network with and target potential donors and users. Panelists discuss their experiences using Web 2.0 to build collections and donor relationships; how collecting from these sites differs from traditional selection, appraisal, and acquisition; and methods of providing access to materials.
